Default Master Cylinder Question

I am expieriencing a bad break pedal droping to the floor in my 89 xj. I bled the lines checked the lines and so now my thought is bad master cylinder. I'm wondering if anyone has rebuilt one and if its worth it? Or should I have to buy a new one?? I prefer the cheapest way to get it fixed that will hold up well. Thanks

Replace it, cheaper in the long run.

Should upgrade it to a dual diaphragm booster as well.

Never rebuild a M/C yourself unless you're restoring something to original and NOS parts are non-existant. In some instances you're not even allowed to use a rebuilt brake cylinder.

You can pay for it now, or God forbid the brakes fail, pay for it later.......
