Default Manual to Power Window conversion

i know this has been mentioned before and im not sure if this is the right place to put this thread in (sorry im new!) but i have a 96 cherokee sport 4 door and i really hate having to lean over the passenger seat to crank the window down (plus the crank is not turning too smooth anymore) and i know people are way against power windows but all i want to change over are the front two windows, i dont care about the backseat ones. anyway, any suggestions on whether or not the 96 sport has the "plug and play" friendliness and where i could get the motors and switches and actuators and anything else i may need for cheap? and a step by step? thatd be so sweet and thanks in advance!!!

No idea but since this isn't stock, and not really modifying from stock, I stuck it in chat.

I'm not even sure where to stick this. Hopefully this catches someones eye who can help you out, though.

I've always preferred crank windows, but I'm a knuckle dragger, so it takes nothing for me to reach the passanger side.

easy way is to grab some power doors and wire them up to a relay for each side and to the battery or fuse panel. but the power doors will have power locks too. but all you need to do is run power wires to the battery with relays.

not sure if there is power plugs under the kick panels or not.

i put power leather seats in my junk and just wired in a stock seat harness to the battery with relays. i took everything i needed from a donor jeep.

but power doesn't like water, so keep that in mind.

i know this is an old thread, but i kidna want to do the same thing......only in reverse.

My 99 has power windows and locks, but i'm sick of replacing the crappy power window regulator. It's broken twice, and i'm sick of repairing it. I want to switch the front passenger side door from a power window to a manual window, and just be done with it.

Does anyone know how this would be possible? Can i reuse the same window track i already have? I don't really care if it looks chopped up, just looking for functionality. Also, i'm planning on stripping down the power door lock connectors, and plugging those in as well... but that seems the easy part.

Any help is appreciated!

Default Tierd of Manual winows and lock...

Converting from Manual to Power, for ease.
the hard part is, wiring 87 power doors and locks to the 93 wiring harness.
I need a wiring schematic for both so I can make the connecting junctions.

Keep the power windows and locks! sucks trying to role up the windows when driving into a rain shower or from a clean trail to a mud trail.
the locks just save time and keep you from getting careless by not locking up.
its a shame you cant just leave things open these days.

If you were closer I'd say you could have my doors - the lock cylinders.
the power doors already installed ...again just need to wire up everything.

I've never had an issue with my manual windows and locks.

If it looks good enough, you'll always have a "passenger" to handle the side door.

OTOH, Google "power door windows", and there are a plethora of dealers. The best ones are made in Sweden, for some reason(?).
