Default Man oh man

I don't think I'll ever get this thing on the road. I bought my '95 Sport auto back in September and have been trying to get it fairly road worthy before I get it on the road; I also need to get my license back. It seems that every time I fix something, I find something else that needs attention. Currently, I need a heater core, need to look in to why my ac only works on high (blower motor resistor is in tact), need to find out why I lost power to my radio and cig lighter and it revs really high in 3rd only before shifting to 4th.

Last week, I replaced the motor mounts so they would be new before I replaced the infamous cracked header. Today, I changed out to the APN header; all went well, replaced a fuel line while I was in there.

When it was all said and done, I started it up and now that I can hear the motor (and not the exhaust leak) I hear a knocking now. It sounds like a rod; as it runs, it kind of sounds like a diesel motor. I did a little research and found it could be the flywheel to torque converter. Well, there is not a flexplate cover. So I guess next weekend, I'll have to crawl underneath again and check that out. I really hope that is all it is. I would hate to have to replace the motor. It looks to have already been replaced (see paragraph below).

I'm beginning to think that the "mechanic" I bought it off of, built it from the ground up w/ JY parts. Every time I look over something, I see those marker numbers somewhere else, like they do when you purchase something from the JY.

Mine has a diesel-ish knock when it runs too, but only when it accelerates. It's not that bad though.

Does it sound like this, kind of?

If anyone knows what this is, would love to know what it might be.
