Hey, I have been off roading lately and see that my 31" tires are hitting the stock fender flare and is tearing it up on the inside. I am already going to lift it up all around to 4.5" (the front sits at 3" and the back is at 1.5" to my supprise!) I have seen the Bushwacker cut out fender flare, but that is around $400 or more. If thats what I have to do to get more clearance for my wheels to move around thats fine, but Id like to find a cheaper way. Has anyone built/modified fender flare to accomplish this?? Ive heard of using garden edging? cutting the stock flare? Pics would be nice. thanks!

Several have used the lawn edging treatment.
I trimmed the fenders and stock flares.
If you can get away without the tire coverage, run without flares.
Many have also fitted TJ wrangler flares.
Not too many aftermarket flares that aren't $400.

If you're lifting it up more I'd wait to see what it does. If you still want/need new flares there's a thread in the for sale section under dealers that have some awesome flares that look like the bushwhacker ones and they're $400 for the whole set.
