Default Maintenance after being submerged in water?

Jeep was stuck in a creek for 4 hours the other day.(See https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/my...5/#post1349145)

I know that I will have to check my differentials for water, and engine oil, but what else? I know there must be more.

It was mainly the rear end under water. The engine never went under.

I imagine you'd have to pull the covers and refill with good fluid.

idk it seems if you have water in the diff you have a leaking seal that needs replacing, dk if its true or not but I have always heard if you see an area that looks "foamy" that is where water is leaking in from.... but idk

I have a leaking seal but have yet to check to see if thats true.

Drain all fluids.... refill and flush fluids out with proper fluids. Repeat several times... I also would recommend that you spend some time looking at your bearings. When I sank mine I spend a lot of time looking at my bearings and seals.
