Lower quarter panel question
I am about to take delivery on an awesome Xj and am so excited. One thing I want to fix is to replace the missing trim piece here. I know I can just get aftermarket armor but would also like to know if anyone knows where I may find this.
thanks so much!

My buddy did that on his 01 XJ, he removed stock trim for aftermarket armor. I will be removing mine eventually as I want trim the corner, but I got a 90, so it is different.
Thanks so much for the reply. I will give those a look.
Pick N Pull or other wrecker. Or want ad, folks that lift and put big tires on their XJ often cut this section off, or they may remove the stock trim to make way for aftermarket armor this used from a want ad.

A friend pointed out to me that you got an aftermarket bumper, I did not see that. on the late XJ body like yours, (97 thru 01) the side pieces missing are part of the bumper trimend caps. So you will need the stock bumper to fit those pieces. pre 97 xj 's do not integrate the bumper end caps into the trim.
What he did was added armor plates that were sold as accessories to his tire carry bumper.
see link for how the stock pieces are part of the stock bumler end caps, see how it forms the end cap also?

on early XJs like the 1990 the side armor trim is not integrated with the bumper.
Yours was removed along with the stkck bumper
you can remove the trim brackets drill out the rivets.
here is stock bumper caps for sale...

but again, if you dont run the stock bumper, the caps probably wont fit right, nor look right.
Also make sure your aftermarket bumper if used as a tire carrier or tow or winch point, make sure it is mounted with reinforcememt! the stock mounts wont hold up! I bought an XJ with tire carrier bumper and tow hooks, the bumper was bolted to the stock mount points, i.e. bolted to sheet metal! even without towing the bumper was ready fall off from the weight of the spare tire, the sheet metal body was torn. I reinforced it. good grief a well known national 4x4 shop did the install! junk.
