looking at a 91 4x4 104k original miles imput needed

Soo i'm looking at a 91 4x4 auto trans truck has like 103/104k on the clock with a 4.0 6 cyl in it but has a bad head gasket.... and overheats.... also needs a bosch abs brake booster since its failing... car has NO rust at all and looks immaculate...
i can fix the head-gasket and brakes i'm sure.... what are pros and cons of the 91's what should i watch out for additionally ALL SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED

Im in Chicago so these things bring good $ its un molested i found it driving past a repair shop and sitting in their driveway... so i called and asked what they wanted for it owner is getting back to me today with a $ amount what would you guys offer

Don't buy it unless you can get it cheap enough that you can afford to replace the engine, just in case.

i can afford to replace the motor.... im not short on funds just want to make sure i get a deal on it i'm not overpaying im thinking the bought it really cheap... prolly under 1000$

That sounds pretty good if everything else is OK.
Sometimes bad head gaskets turn out to be bad heads or blocks.

they said its overheating.... so im assuming the radiator water pump and thermostat is prolly jacked causing the overheat causing the gasket to be trashed so id change all of that when i do it.... a good motor is about 800$?? if i need one right

HE SAID 900.... i think thats a steal the body looks great so do floors its pretty much 100% rust free no joke one owner car

I'm pretty sure im grabbing it tonight.... gonna call at 5 have em put it on the lift... if it looks good underneath ill take it.... the body's clean though... i'm also gonna check the oil... if its milked out i may be weary since bearings and seals could be compromised

Agreed but still a perfect body for 900 is still a good deal

Yeah i'm in the rust belt to.... should be worth decent money if its clean and i get her going!!

Went and saw it today in the light... There are a few light rust spots... Floors are solid as hell I think it will be a fun lil project I already have a mint 99 that I really don't want to hack up. Everything worked on the truck and the oil had no coolant in it. So thread gasket situation can't be that bad also had a new muffler and cat along with a few other lil things I'm gonna offer 850 in am and hopefully take her home. It's a one owner truck to!! Original title sold 6-91 with 4 miles on it!!
