Here's what i have:
http://www.vulcantire.com/cgi-bin/ti...mtzsport_t.cst

I have them in a 30" for a 15" rim because im only on a 3 inch lift.
Got them off of CL for $260 and they are more than half tread except for one is a little more worn down. I've had them for 10k and i cant find much wear on them. I'll be getting these again in a 33" when i lift my Jeep more. I've had these things in mud and on a little bit of rock at Jeepfest and they do awesome in the mud and have always plowed me right through and throw big chunks (I'm 2wd btw). On the rocks they seemed to be kinda slick and not do AS well but i have foing through all kinds of things Wranglers that were on 33's and in 4wd were having a hard time with. They seem to be becoming a little more popular here in town but i cant wait to have them in 33's for the price. On road manners aren't the best but they are decent and are a Load Range C tire but i think they are cupped from the PO... but im gonna buy them again

33-12.50-15 BFG KM2

I have had these for about 10k miles, they have about 85 percent tread left.
I love these tires so much, for PNW wheeling, they are perfect.

I paid 1100 mounted and balanced at Americas tire.

ill give them 9/10, because the have no traction in the rain.

BFG T/A KO 31/10.50/15

I've had these for about 800 miles and have around 60-70% tread left, I got them from CL
I love them so much, they are great for my DD and occasional wheeling.

I paid $200 for five, four good and one spare.
I give them a 8/10 just because I haven't really gone wheeling yet so I can't say how well they will be in deep mud.

Had 33x10.50x15 bfg ats. Ran them a little over a year. Great tire for all around wheeling with rocks and dry dirt. Awesome in the snow. These tires are terrible in the mud but just makes it that much more fun when mud does come up.

Currently 38x12.50x15 TSL Bias and couldn't be happier. I also have liked my old MTZs. Xterrains were fine till you hit a mud puddle, Maxxis Buckshots were small, wore way fast and were slightly better than an AT, Gateway Buckshots are up there with my TSLs. Ground Hawgs were OK after I grooved them. Never ran an AT offroad so no experience there.

Federal Couragia MT. Price is 140/tire mounted and balanced.

General Opinion;

I bought this tire in particular for a trail tire. I wanted something much more aggressive than km2's but I did not want a pure bogger tire like the swamper tsl. So far its exactly what I wanted. Its trails much better than km2's on slick or grassy terrain, and even dry dirt. In rocks it works great also. Probably one of the best all around trail tires you can buy. The tire pictured is what I have, its 10ply rated, 3ply side wall. And it seems to be great for off road durability. Also it hold a bead great. At 8psi the tires won't even burp. My mtr's for comparison burped at 12psi. On road they are a little noisy, but not like tsl's, not even close. Mileage is not very good. I am about half worn at 10,000 miles. Had them for about a year on my daily driver. However for the price and performance, I will be purchasing them again.

On road = 3
Wet pavement 4
Trail = 5
Rocks = 4
Mud = 4
Longevity = 2 or 3

Procomp mud terrain
33x12.5x15
These tires were mostly terrible.
They did ok on the rocks, they conform well, but have zero sidewall traction. Also I thought I was going to rip a sidewall easily, but never did.

Super swamper bogger
33x14.5x15
these tires are awesome in the mud, snow, sand, basically any loose type terrain
they were decent on the rocks, but they don't conform to rocks like radials.
They suck *** on straight ice.
They are loud as **** and wear quickly, I don't recommend for daily driving.

Super swamper TSL SX
33x15.5x15
These tires have been awesome at everything so far, although I have not driven them in the snow yet, although I suspect they will be great, If I sipe them, I'm sure they will be great even on ice.
These tires are also loud, but not like the boggers. They also wear MUCH better.

Super swamper ssr
37x12.5x15
I never wheeled them, but their road manners are MUCH better than their bias ply counter parts. I suspect they are better on rocks than the TSL SX because they have softer sidewalls and can conform better to the rocks. They also come with siping so they should be better on ice/snow than straight TSL SX.

Pathfinder A/T
225/75/15
These tires were pretty good if you aren't looking for a straight offroad tire in an OEM size. They were decent in the snow, ice, mud, sand, rocks.

I had one more set but I don't remember what they were, some A/T. Similar performance to the pathfinder, but it came in a little bit bigger of a size.

33x12.5 R15 BFG km1's. got 6 of them on CL for $200. they are 6 years old with 60% tread and they're doing great. anyone who's thinking about buying old craigslist tires with some weather wear, I took the risk for cheap and I'm happy. they do well on rocks and hug surprisingly well even at 24psi. actually pretty quiet on the road when balanced properly. for the price I'm loving them. but they are chunking and getting cuts on rocks from being so old. and they dont stand up well against stumps at 15mph... but for the price I couldn't be happier

ATTENTION::
Lets make this into a poll. 5-10 of the top mud tires that you would pick to put on your weekend warrior. what do you guys think about this list? less options? different tires? agreed?

"which mud tire would you put on your weekend warrior?"

cooper discoverer STT
pitbull growler radial
MTR kevlar
maxxis trepador
super swamper (any)
BFG KM2
toyo open country
general grabber
baja claws
pro comp xterrain

A couple you have listed definitely are not mud tires. And if you are going to make a list to help people may as well make it complete with the ones currently available.

Ok what would you call them. tires that are one or two steps above all terrains but aren't specified as "offroad use only"? They're MT tires. You're missing the point. And the poll only holds 10 so I'm just picking the most popular dual purpose tires

So the new question will be "which dual purpose tires would you select for your weekend warrior"

LOL Sorry I live in mud 50 % of the time. So I am picky.

I like dual purpose I can relate to that. Bummer that the poll only holds 10. Anyways Interco has over 10 types of tires alone? Hmm.
You could post 10 brands?
Great idea though.

BFG A/T 31/10.5/15

They have been on the Jeep for 3 years (maybe 15,000 miles).

Mud and snow a lot in Oklahoma.

Now I live in California and they do well in the Mountains on rocky trails and snow.

I bought them because I have had a couple sets in the past, they work great, price is reasonable, and they last. If it ain't broke, why fix it.
