Default Lights or lift?

So payday is comin up soon, I was thinkin while mudding today, wow a set of lights or a lift would be great right about now. So i don't know which one to do, lights or lift? I have a set of 33" tires for it, just need rims (unless 33s would fit on stock aluminum xj rims) so any input?

Lights are cheaper then a lift but you'll get more use out of the lift. And the 33s will fit your stock rims if they are the right rim size.

You really need to do a bit of reading about the negative affects of lift blocks before suggesting them to anyone.

Really bad advise kid.

Get some lights. Way cheaper than a lift. Or catch up on maintenance if that's an option.

2" OME full leaf packs and 2" coils for under $400, trim the fenders and run the 33s. Stock wheels work, but they'll rub the LCAs at full turn. No big deal, just make slightly wider turns.

if you're never going bigger than 33's, ditch the lift and trim it up. And whoever said blocks... you're not ready to own a jeep yet.

motorcharge had the right idea with the OME 2" stuff. If you MUST lift it some... but you can trim enough to clear 33's at stock height if you really wanna keep the rpms up while spinning those 33's. You are going to want some different rims though. Something with 4" of backspacing or 3.75", not the 5.25" your stock rims have. preferably about an 8" wide rim.

You couldn't catch me dead with blocks, I'll jus trim up my fenders and get the 33s installed! Soon I'll do about 2" budget lift to get a little more comfort clearance, other then that I don't need much, maybe camo paint job and cb radio!
