I want to put this on the hood, but the price is hard to justify.

to make one cheaper, get some the cheap low profile rectangle H3 fog lights, upgrade the bulbs to H3 H.I.D. simulate bulbs at a 100 watt rating, upgrade the wiring with 10gauge and add a relay for every 2 lights. then get some box channel, cut openings in the box channel and mount the lights in the box channel, or use a piece of angle to mount them on. you can make it look how you want and the light output will be far greater for alot alot cheaper! plus those are pencil beams, you want fog light patterns i presume.
I was reading on the JK forum and they said they are not worth the money.

That is a good idea. Might have to get some end caps machined and give it a shot. Would like to run four lights in total, two pencil and two fogs. Put the pencil in the middle and fogs on the outer edge. Run two switches and presto, sweet light setup brought to you by 96 XJ. Time to find a cnc shop!
