Looks like a 'low petrol' light. Usually comes on below 1/4 tank.

I'll have to diagree since, if you look closely, you can see that the (currently not lite) indicator directly above the fuel gauge shows a gas pump. I'd bet that is the "Low petrol" light.

What year make and model vehicle is this, anyway? I'm guessing it's a Liberty by the looks of the dash and the fact they're called Cherokees in other parts of the world.

I'm going to say the light is the "Anti-theft system" light.

Does it blink?

I found a diagram of that cluster but I can't seem to find the Numbered chart that goes with it.

Hmm, definitely looks like a blinker fluid light.

Just kidding lol.

I do agree with Lowrange that it's not a low gas light because he's right that the light above the gas gauge is the low gas light.

I have a manual at home that should have that diagram in it. I'll let you know what I find.

Damnit! You win. I searched for that for half an hour.

Here's an excerpt straight from the OEM Manual:

"Security Alarm System Indicator Light - (If Equipped)
This light will flash rapidly for approximately 16 seconds after all of the doors are locked and closed to signal that the system is arming. After the alarm system successfully arms, the light will flash at a slower rate to indicate the alarm is set."
