I don't have these particular housings, but some similar ones. I am however running IPF bulbs that I like.

The housings cost about $40 as I remember. The bulbs are IPF Fatboys, around $80. They are not HIDs, and have the softer white beam. Much brighter, but I don't get people flashing me, and legal in all states. HIDs, used to be illegal in CA. I don't know about now.

I have the IPF's housings and Hella 80/100w bulbs and they are awesome! The light output is great and no unhappy people! Just make sure you adjust them right.

Get the Autopal housings off of ebay. I think mine were around 42 bucks shipped with bulbs. They are the e-code beam which is far better than the OEM DOT pattern.

Hella E-code bowls, homespun relay harness, Hella Super White 90W/130W bulbs. Carefully aimed...
CHP and SJPD haven't given me any grief. But, the full beams are quite effective on ricebois with those wretched "bloo" headlamps...
