Default Lift with stock DS

So I'm lifting my jeep (97 Cherokee sport 4wd) everythings basically stock, wanna lift it first then do the extras such as gears, shafts and everything else. (Tight budget)Basically what I'm asking is I wanna do a 6.5 in lift and use the Tcase drop with stock DS temporarily before I purchase an extended drive shaft now would that be okay? I've heard others say they have done it without TC drop with stock DS no hack n tap or Sye. So i know it's a stupid question but would i get by with that for like a few weeks going under 50mph or would it just not work. Ty guys appreciate the read and any help.

I am running 6-6.5 inch of lift and threw on a stock driveshaft while rebuilding the double cardan shaft I normally run. The shaft is from a five speed XJ and I'm running an auto. I forget for sure but I think they are different lengths. I vibrated like crazy at first but got progressively better. Doesn't look like it would be able to fall of either as it's slid on pretty much fully over the output shaft.
