yea the tcase drop is just cheaper. thats what i did for my old jeep. right now i have 3.5" of lift so i dont have a drop or anything, but i dont get any vibes. should be shimmed or have an sye. id rather have an sye than a tcase drop so i dont lose ground clearance but dont need either. for that amount of lift he should have an sye, extened brake lines..i think from a tj will work-correct me if im wrong, possibly a extended pitman arm and adj track bar-maybe can use stock one and think they make extensions or something

Be careful, lowrange will have him on Clayton long arms soon. But yes at anything over 3.5" you should have an adjustable track bar, Rear TJ soft hoses, you can relocate the front hard lines as long as they aren't too rusty, just bend them straight

yea when i did my 4.5 lift i just kinda popped the rears off the mounts and for the front i had relocating brackets. i flexed my 3.5 lift out the other day and my brake lines were so tight..so dont think i can lift more without getting new lines.

Obviously I know that Clayton makes good stuff. My point is that some people are on more of a budget than others and can't afford all of the super expensive premium parts. There are definitely some options for people on a budget that are completely legitimate. If you can afford the expensive stuff, kudos to you. I'll still have fun wheeling my budget build.

Well by budget build I mean things like coil spacers and lift shackles. I don't skimp on things like control arms and steering parts. And please don't use lift blocks, I've seen leaf springs snap in half over them

I ended up buying kit. Sold 3" spacers n blocks for half what I payer. Doubled up my old add a leaf with my new one stayed with my 2" spacers and overall 5" lift. Works for what I do with it. Payed 600 for whole jeep with brand new rough country 2" spacers n add a leaf. And has brand new 33x10.50's on it. All I use it for is to keep my tj off the trees and its roof. Haha
Also yes I do have to get lines. This is a budget jeep so it gets the Craigslist goodies. I'm not to worried about sye kit. Like I said its a 600$ jeep. And I agree on the block lifts being junk. I was just getting opinions on price for what was included.
