I'm torn between the two I love the look of a lifted jeep but hate the mpg they get my xj looks good not lifted but it would look better lifted so which do I do lift or don't lift
The lift doesn't lower your mpg, your tires do. I would go with 3 or so inches and 31's. Not a huge change in mpg, and a more aggressive look.

87 Renix, 4.0 5 speed, 3.07 2 door, and it runs 18 to 20mpg. Unless your on the Freeway trying to run 75mph then it drops somewhat.

You Must Choose. If you lift you have committed to a jeep adventure. It will not be free. It will reward you with mechanical challenges, geometrical education, pride in achievements, a thin ligth weight easy to carry wallet. Now ask your self, havn't you honestly allready decided? See you up there.
