Is it ok to run a exast pip straght from cat without mufiler. I know it does not hurt jeep, infact I get more seat of pants power,and it sounds sooo good. but is it legeal.

Call your local state police barracks and ask.

Seems that muffler laws are dependant upon state, where Catalytic converters are Federally mandated.

if you live in VA you dont need a muffler for state inspection. although you can still get pulled for being too loud

I would put a flowmaster on my jeep. They sounnd cool.

Haven't had a muffler on my Jeep for about 3 years... I wrapped my tail pipe around the rear axle wheelin' in 3' of snow.My father-in-law bet me I couldn't make it to his house... It won't hurt it and it sounds allright. I'm actually going to put a muffler of some sort back on it, I'm sick of the noise.
