Default Leak on drivers side floor

96xj, when it rains I've got a leak on the floor on the drivers side.
I've checked the:
Cowl, put water in it with the hose
Under the dash, it's dry
Windshield isn't leaking
I caulked around the junction block, steering column, cable that goes through the firewall, and the blower motor (pass side)
Anywhere else it could be coming from?
Thanks,
Pdowty-68

If you have your wheel wells open ( liner taken out) or if you have a hole of any size in the rubber boot that runs from the door to the body ( conceals speaker and other wires from door to body) the water will run down the door jam into the boot across the wires down into the kick panel and onto the floor. I can say pretty confidently you'll find water coming in through that passage. Since finding it on mine I've checked all my friends rigs and same issue

I just thought about how I opened my door and I couldn't get the mirrors inside control remote thing to stay in place properly, maybe it's coming through there? For anyone with a 96 and below xj with the manual mirrors, with the remote adjustment, is it possible? Well any thing is possible, but i just thought of that. And I have some bubbles of rust coming up on my drivers side door(why I took it apart in the first place, to discover I couldn't stop the rust from the inside b/c there's a beam in the way, I was gonna sand and paint it from the inside, the use some mopar corrosion inhibitor on the outside.
