Yeah dude, I think you took what he said the wrong way. His intent was to protect YOU. He's not saying that you don't have permission to use the pictures, all he saying is that you probably want to have a general release in place so that if you end up making money off of someone's pictures that they posted in this thread- whether or not it's a thread in which you are asking for pictures- they can't come back later on and sue YOU because you didn't get a legal "contract" in place that says they can't. Just protects you from liability later on down the road.

No one is trying to poopoo on what you're doing man, we're just looking out for you. Your reaction to the advice given just kinda reminded me of a teenager tantrum... so sorry for saying it was a dick move. Seriously man - we're just lookin' out for you.

Remember, there are a lot of different people in various fields of study and/or careers on here... some are lawyers or are at least in business or marketing and might happen to know a few things about what you're doing. SOME may happen to have been burned doing what you're doing. Take what other people say, think about it, and learn from it.... don't take offense to it in a knee-jerk reaction.

 

Fair enough. At 41 I still have my moments. As an artist I'm aware of all the legal action, it just gets annoying to deal with. Kind of like when they turn the lights on in a bar at 1am. Lol...What I do is my full time job, it's not just some side project so I appreciate the support. Good looking out. *thumbsup
