to the gentleman who said a discovery rides/drives better that a jeep.. where not talking about the new ones 3-4, Discoveries are stock a far better offroader than jeep cherokee ( locking diffs etc ) however on the road, jesus the cherokee is a dream! mines a 95 stock limited by the way, i have to work on her now and again but i must admit allthough i love landys ( one of the last things made in the UK ) they fall apart from new pretty much.. its a labour of love with having two before the whole family converted to jeeps...

I have a 88 xj that I trail alot and rarely ever have a problem. Thing runs strong and never left me stranded.
Just stay on top of the maintenance.

I have a 95 XJ 4.0L HP Limited SE and love it but also love Land Rovers (being English!!).

The 2003 Disco was not the best you should try the new one best car & 4x4 in the world bar none.

Can recommend the XJ even some how manage to not rust away here in the UK!
