Default K&N Air filter wrap

Has anyone had any experience with these? K&N makes an air filter wrap called the "Dry Charger" that is splash and mud resistant while keeping air flow free.

It's only resistant. Can't keep mud and water out completely but that being said on our last wheeling trip we had an s10 blazer with 383 stroker and he was running a filter wrap. He still sucked up water but only bad enough to wet the MAF sensor. Can of ether down the throttle bottle and back up and running. Water can still get through it.

I'm just thinking it's a cheap way to give more protection to my filter. I haven't been in deep water so for now splashes of water over my hood is it
