Default Just bought some tires today...

I'm getting ready to lift my 01 XJ, and found a great deal on some Goodyear MTRs. I can't wait to see these tires on the jeep after the lift. I'll be posting pictures asap.

Anybody else have MTRs? What's the tire life like?

i love my swampers on the road. i have no issues with them. i run then om highway, washboards, new and old pavement and they work well for me, mo issues and A LOT quieter than the BFG Muds.... Also they are not bad on wet pavement.

and what size are they?

I'm on my second set of 33x12.50 MTR's and have loved them. Got 67k on my first set, and this set looks barely worn in so far and they've been on there for 3 1/2 yrs. Great tire.

super swamper radial tsl's

my ex has a 4 door version of mine with the same sized RC lift and same sized tires her tires howl louder than my exhaust and tire whine combined.

you have to figure that the main contact patch is the the center rib and the outter knuckles are staged where on the BFG muds they are a square tire so the enter tire is acting as the "center rib" if that makes sense? atleast thats how i think about it
