Junkyard Treasures
Well Eric (96 XJ Sport) and I went out to pull-a-part today. Had some luck finding parts. He got a few spare axle shafts and I found a gas tank skid. But other than that most of the XJ's had been picked pretty clean.
Found another Junk yard and stopped off to have a look. Well found me another...
XJ Dana 44
Best part about it was I only paid
40 BUCKS
I seen it and then went to ask what they would charge if I pulled it. X-mas budget and all. I figured it would be over my 100 dollar limit. I was tickled ****less to say the least. He said how about 40 bucks and I said how about sold lol.
Thought I would share this my excitement with yall.

Nice find - make sure that Titanic looking artifact doesnt scratch the paint in the bed of that spiffy new truck!
edit: The axle is actually pretty freakin clean now that I look at it.

Yep now I get to build one to replace the other. I will eventually have a extra Dana 44 but it will be awhile. I like the idea of slowly cleaning it up and building a good axle while I am still driving my jeep around.

Were there any 97-01s on the lot? I need a heated passenger side mirror for the wifes 01. Some jerk thought it would be fun to hit it in a parking lot. Just broke the glass but still hard to find in the jys here.

Hell all I look for is Renix. Sorry. Next time I go I will see what years they have. I know there was a couple with cup holder center consoles and that is in the newer XJ's.
