Default junkyard soft 8's and 33's

While search a local JY for a 15x8 rim for my YJ I came across a Gran Cherokee with what look like soft 8's on some fairly worn 33's for $200. I live in a smaller city so finds like this would be considered rare.

Do I get the tires/rims for my daughter's XJ for a christmas present or go by just the rims and mount her 31's on them is my dilema. I measured the rims and they look like 5 on 4.5's, not the 5 on 5's.

I currently have her 31's mounted on stock 15x7's. I know I could use the rims on my YJ. It just seems I always see posts where somebody is buying soft 8's for $35-$40 and I never seem to see those deals

Give me feedback guys and gals.

Yep, that is my thinking.

I looked different places on the net and I can only find soft 8's for about $58 each so not a big savings. Then I would have shipping. I really don't need or want the 33 tires so I would have to pay to get rid of them so that cost kind of balances out the shipping.

I am basically looking for someone to come up with an argument or reason why I would go with this rim and tire. I don't see why I would myself, but sometimes someone has an angle I would have never considered.

Go check out firestone or big o or discount tire and see what they have. IIRC they had soft 8s for about $50.

If all you want is the rims then Id buy em brand new. Try going to discount tire or hell even pep boys. They should be able to get you the rims for about 50 bucks a piece and free shipping if you pick up in store. You might even be able to get them to mount them for free.

Just so you know... I measured my buddy's zj bolt pattern the other day ad it
was 4.5. Just cause I had an extra set of rims I'm gonna give him I believe the wjs are 5 or 5.5 don't remember.

Thanks for the info on Summit. It looks like Jegs has pretty good prices on them. Junkyards around here are pretty limited and small. Plus they are pretty proud of their parts.

You could always sell the 33" forward if you have the time. Thats the only argument I have against buying new wheels.

Jegs housebrand rims have a knock off soft 8 for dirt cheap check those out.

http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performan...ductId=1572411

My buddy runs them on his JK with treadwrights. They are 17" but the design is the same look really good for the cost shipped fast as well.

cdawall,
I had looked at Jegs, but initially did not find much. After seeing your link I found these
http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performan...rentProductId=

I went ahead and picked up 4 of these for my daughter's jeep.

Thanks for the help folks.
