Hi everyone. I just moved to a new town and their junkyard is stocked with xjs. Ivery never been to one. I am going to go check it out tomorrow or the day after. What are some good things I should look for and what should I get? Was hoping to find some skid plates but anything else cool?

 

Aftermarket control arms, rear lift spring packs, upgraded steering linkages...

 

I don't know what you have, but you could always look for stuff to sell as well. Overhead console, older model full gauge clusters, newer model mirrors, speaker bars. Maybe everything needed for a rear disk brake setup (not from an XJ, but that will fit on an XJ).

 

Infinity tweeters, 97+ lower switch panels, leather seats, waggy header panel and grill, sye, front driveshaft to go with an SYE, factory tow hooks. All kind of good stuff. Pull-a-parts are gold mines if you know what to look for. On the app so I can't see your location but if you're close to me. I could use a front and gas tank skid for a 97+

 

Hey Chip, his profile says NM. I happen to be headed out there next weekend, wonder if the wife would get mad if I fill the trunk of her new car with a rear diff and other misc JY parts.

Hey guys great ideas. I never even thought about getting things to sell. That's a great idea.

 

Center console latches for older (97-01) xjs. I've never found any that weren't broken. Seen a couple guys on here selling them.
