Jukyard find
So the girlfriend and I went shopping today. She hit the mall and I hit the junkyard.
Found a immaculate 1996 white 4door XJ from cash for clunkers. 120k miles, 242,auto, looks like it just came off the factory floor.....and fully loaded. Its a damn shame, I asked the owner if I could just buy the entire jeep and put a new engine in it, but I guess it has to be crushed. Damn, I would have probobly paid about 3K for it.
Finds:
Factory front skid ($20)
Factory Tcase skid ($20)
Factory gas skid ($20)
Factory tow hooks and plates ($20)
There is also a 2" trailer hitch I might get since mine is smaller. Is there anything else I should be pillaging from it? I'm thinking about pulling the headliner with sound bar and overhead console, but I'm not sure how tough it would be to put it in my 1993. Any ideas?

I found that ones twin in a 95 model last week...... cost me $100 for the same items you got.
I agree its a shame. This one was a garage kept jeep with 130k on it and had the best interior ive ever seen in a cherokee of that age. Too bad it was maroon cloth and I couldnt use any of it.

Definitely get the soundbar and overhead! Those things are hard to find. Even if you don't use it, sell it to one of the other XJ'ers on here. I'm sure lots would be interested in it.
And you shouldn't have too much trouble putting it in yours....just require running some wires. And if you are going to do the headliner anyways....will be opened up for wiring already.
