I'm sure y'all have seen em on the wranglers, the pretty simple design that basically bolts right on, and allows a fifty inch led light bar to set almost right above the roof line. I saw one by OMC Offroad for the xj but it was at the top of the windshield. I really have no fab skills, but I've seen some pretty talented fab skills here. SO I'd like to call somebody to make this a reality. Anybody have a idea or maybe there is an existing one I just didnt see

Below is wrangler version, mounts on out side of A pillars

Where do you want it to go?

Well basically like this, but without the requirement to either drill your roof or install a roofrack

You could probably make something that attaches to the Gutter Rails if you knew what your doing. Sadly, I dont.

Me neither! That is why I'm putting this out there! It would require some R&D but could be a pretty big money maker. I Know a few people that would by this on the spot.

Yeah that's it. Ain't gonna get much cheaper... Not worth the someone else time to make these and not get paid well for them. Hooligans stuff is nice, but typically pricey.

hmmmmmmmmm...Since Im a cheap skate, I've seen rain gutter brackets on the cheap, and even with my marginal welding skills I could probably try and see if i can make a relatively similar end product. Any suggestions?

PS Not to rip off hooligan or anything, and your right man they have to pay the bills, but that is just a mounting bracket.

I purchased 2 different types of light bar mounts from vendors that advertise on CF. Look for a mount that is similar to an A pillar mount instead of one that mounts on the roof rails or one that mounts on the roof racks.
The A pillar mounts are well built, pricy but solid. Think I paid 160 or so shipped. Like I said pricy but then again so is the light bar

Look up omcoffroad.com Not cheap but very beefy, and from my perspective well worth it.

Yeah I saw the OMC One, that inspired the thread. Don't really like how low it hangs the bar. THanks though!
Detours has a pretty cool one! You happen to know how its mounted?
