Sometimes the little guy comes through. Had to run parts to a buddy when his hose broke off the heater core. Went down a steep *** hill that was all clay, and back up it TWICE to help him get the parts. He's sitting on a 7inch lift and 35" duratracks. I'm on a 2.5" lift and 235s

You can still buy ARB's and an E-locker for the 3/4 and 1-ton 9.25" ring gear IFS. They are VERY expensive though.
GM trucks are also stuck with the rear G80 "gov-bomb" locker that breaks just as often as it works lol.
Back almost 40 years ago, I rescued a Land Rover pulling a little 2-wheel trailer of firewood, with my Chevy K-20. We had gone back up a cat trail on a power line in Alaska to salvage piles of birch logs cut when the line was constructed.
I had a huge *** load on my Chevy pickup with logs sticking out over the top of the cab - probably more than two tons. There was a steep muddy rutted hill going back out; I made it up fine but the LR/trailer just barely started up the hill before getting stuck.
I didn't have enough cable to reach from the top so I had to back down again about halfway just to get hooked up. That old 73 Chevy hauled the whole works to the top of the hill without any drama at all

It was all good fun at the time and between the two rigs we probably had 7 or 8 people which is how we managed to get such a big load on my pickup in the first place. Amazing what you do when you're young ...

I've pulled quite a few people out, and most of the time I'm the only one who doesn't get stuck when I go with people.
