Default Jeeping your paint job clean?

When I first got my XJ the paint was soooo CLEAN. I went mudding, and offroading with it one, and put clear coat scratches all over it.

I look at alot of these jeeps on these forums, and there paint never looks scratched or clear coat.

How do you clean it up? Or keep it clean?

i have another show car that i keep meticulous at all times. What you should do is get a detail kit from say meguiars or something and get a clay bar as well. Wash the Jeep with dish soap first to remove the basic dirt, clay bar the car (follow directions or youtube it), then wash Jeep with car soap, wax and then polish it. You will be amazed!!! My black 2008 SS looks better than new. I might be doing my Jeep tomorrow

it depends on the color of the jeep too. my black jeep cherokee shows every scratch from when i go offroad, but once its washed and pictures are taken you cant see a singe one,

I dont see the point of doing all that work....If your Jeep is just gonna get dirty/scratched again....

A show car, yeah. But an offroad vehicle... ....it just seems like an oximoron, IMO

As soon as I got my XJ I did the flat black "Rattle Can Special".
So when I get scratches, Just spray and they go away.

Absolutely TRUE, If mine was black, red, dark blue or any dark color the paint would look terrible. Since it's white it still looks good enough to have won the "Best Jeep" award at a local car show last summer. Cars or trucks I always buy light colors for that reason.

When I still had my BMW, I'd spend 6+ hours every weekend detailing the exterior and interior. I haven't washed my Jeep ONCE since I got it (past rain and driving really fast through puddles), and it's so nice to have that freetime back.

all I can say is I'd never recommend a $9000.00 paint job on a Jeep. just remember only the first scratch hurts, from then on the vehicle is completely usable

HAHAHA...My E30 is Flat Black, same as my Jeep
The interior is also stripped, except for the dash, seats, center console between seats, & door cards.
Its awaiting a rollcage and other tasty mods....
