Default Jeep Xj 2 Door

I just purchased a 99 with 125k miles and stock.
Shocks are blown out up front

IS it normal for my interior to have all kinds of creaks, pops and rattles?

havent owned an xj in 8 years. i forgot lol

Stuff like this is so subjective regarding what one person finds noticeable or remarkable vs someone else. I'll say that XJ's are structurally pretty flexy, and 2-doors have one fewer pillars than the 4-doors which only makes them even flexier. Even with frame stiffeners from head to toe on mine, there are still some creaks/pops/snaps/crackles/rattles/clatters especially over bumps. The frame stiffeners had a remarkable effect reducing how much everything flexed and fussed, though.

My 98 pops all the time, dash pops more than anything, and flexing on mini hills make the body creak, you can hear the door seals rubbing against each other

roger guys. Phew I'm **** when it comes to odd noises and coming from a 2015 jk sport to an xj after 7 years i forgot how much noise they made.

I am planning on pulling the carpet and possibly doing some sound deadening ( may go cheap and use the lowes stuff) then raptor liner over it on all the floor then putting carpet back in.

Looking into the stiffeners as well. Along with the T&M b pillar strengtheners.
