Every 4L (and 4.2 for that matter) that I've owned has had "the tick". As long as your oil level is good and everything under the hood looks to be in good shape I wouldn't worry about it...

its called dry start look it up ahahhha
its when your oil is cold its thicker
so then it has a harder time flowing into your lifters
until it warms up then itlle stop
