never pull by the sway bar. that is an idiotic thing to do... That is 4 small bolts in the unibody that are not reenforced. They rip out and cause major damage to the unibody.

And in the video you are talking about did you notice that they yanked on the axle. we specifically told him not to yank but to be easy.

Ummmm, NO!!! Never pull by the sway bar unless you want to destroy your unibody. First thing you should do if you plan on wheeling your jeep is to invest in recovery points. It's that simple.

dont feel bad bro, the first time i got stuck by myself , it was 2AM and i had to camp out and wait for two of my buddies to link up their rigs and pull together ,4 hours after they came i was out, i was stuck for 13 hours and had to throw $500 in the jeep , i'll never forget trying to sleep soaking wet on the sand, and i'll tell you what, you may have spent a night alone in the woods but nothing compares to sleepin with good ole' JD

PS your nuts for leaving your jeep out there, if you leave yours alone in the pine barrens it probly wont be there in the morning.

do not pull by the sway bar! one of the weakest ponts use a frame hole. the elongated and kneraled one is there for tieing down during shipping

Hey just for future reference heres some dos and donts for getting stuck:
GET RECOVERY POINTS FRONT AND BACK!
if possible leave the engine on because your starter can easily get flooded and not start up again.
dont yank unless you have a stretchy tow strap or things like to break and go flying thru windshields
DONT WHEEL ALONE! i learned this the hard way
invest in a hi lift jack and some 2x4s and a shovel in the back of your jeep

Grats on the recovery
Now:
Get some real tires on there. (dont, have to get the biggest, just get something with good "bite" in the tread)
Get a High-Lift jack. (one of the best investments I ever made)
Get recovery points.
and..............go get stuck again!

Also: to the ppl that said pull from axles, or sway bar, I would never go wheeling with you nOObs....... lol

Good luck kid

High-Lift to the rescue

From the OP's pics he didn't appear to be extremely mired,
High-Lift, plywood, (or whatever you can build a "bridge" with) and yer out.

Little late for this now, but Never go offroading Alone. Always have at least one other 4by4 with you. I know u will next time, and get some hooks mounted to the frame on the front and rear (trailer hitch is good) do u have a friend thats a trucker on an intern'l truck they have great steel hooks fit nicely in the trailer hitch hole for pulling.

Not too mention the s***ty A/S tires.

I was expecting it to be buried to the frame F+R from the way everyone was freaking out so bad.
