Default Jeep ruining another icon safe to say Jeep is dead

I think Jeep jumped the shark with the new 2014 Cherokee been reading on the jeepcherokeeclub.com forum to see what kind of hippy stuff they are talking about over there, ran across this gem I think its is safe to say that the real Jeep is on life support for some reason grasping at straws to become the new crossover company instead of sticking to its roots.

RIP JEEP...

P.S. I hear the guys that drive those things us hand lotion and wear lip balm.

Car manufactures have to appeal to the demand... The demand being a bunch of crossovers. Sure I don't like the new Jeep Cherokee at all, but does it really affect me? Ehhh not a whole lot. I still get to drive my Jeep that hasn't seen a dealership floor for over 23 years.

True its just sad to see it go I've tried the new jeeps haven't been to impressed I had 2011 jeep patriot new it was OK not a jeep but more of like a small cheap SUV thing. I traded it for a 2011 jk with a 4" lift and 35s she was beautiful unfortunately that's all she was got rid of it in 3 weeks every time it rained the doors leaked at top and would flood the floor and ruin power locks dealership kept putting it off because warranty was almost up finally we had words and got something else 2012 ram 1500 quad cab express much happier. They don't call them jk for nothing I'll have a jeep again prolly a cj7 but I'll stick to the Cherokee for now.

It's not just demand but government safety, emissions, ect standards that burden manufacturers from doing specialty vehicles. CAFE fleet standards are why Jeep can't build Jeeps anymore (though Fiat does seem to be hell bent on ruining it more than they have to and even more so than Chrysler did) and **** like the 2014 Cherokee, Compass, ect have to exist in order for them to be able to produce the Wrangler still. Those same standards are why they had to kill the TJ along with the 4.0 and make the plastic monstrosity that is the JK.

I think jeep is simply trying to be successful. all of you guys *****ing about the terrible designs and lack of off road capability etc are failing to realize that a few purists cannot support a global manufacturer like Chrysler. unfortunately for you, they know this, too. I honestly could care less. I've never been a Chrysler fan persay and my xj is prob the first and last mopar product I'll ever own. "they don't make em like they used to" wasn't coined because it's not true.

you guys need to start facing reality on a number of different fronts. at my young age of 30 I have already made a firm grasp on one fact. I'm the minority.

Jeep isn't dead, but they have ruined the image.

When I was a kid, the only Jeeps on the road were Wagoneers, Cherokee's, Comanche's and Wranglers, rugged, tough vehicles, now they're just family haulers save for the Wrangler.

How dare they try to sell family haulers to a country full of families needing to be hauled!!

They should ONLY make dune buggies and ham radios and fallout shelters!

USA! USA!

Brand allegiance is stupid anyway. Find a new cool truck, or build yoself a dune buggy.
