Default Which Jeep to get?

When It comes to 4WD, I want my cake and eat it too. On the one hand, I spend 95% of my time on road and like FULL TIME AWD . Part time 4WD like Command track is essentially useless to me. On the other hand, I do not want an AWD vehicle. I had a 96 Explorer with the AWD system and it was almost pitiful how it got stuck once. Bonus points for a diff locker, but I doubt anything Jeep ever made came stock with one (I think Range rover and Land cruisers do though)

Cheapest and simplest is a Selec Trac Jeep and possibly add a diff locker? Suggestions as to what I may want?

Look through the classifieds local to your area. Find a decent XJ with hardly no mods and build it the way you want. If you have a decent mechanical knowladge installing lifts, lockers, ect. you will have what you want for less money than finding one that is already built. But that is just my $.02
