Im going to take a guess that you have a 99 Cherokee based on your Username, its not hard at all find a Jeep with full gauges, unplug yours and plug that one in. Everything will work, it really is plug and play. However, your Jeep's odometer will now read whatever miles were on the vehicle it came off of. I hear you can have it flashed to the correct miles but it is expensive.

you cold just right down somewhere what miles your at and what miles the cluster you get starts as and when you care to know just calculate the difference lol
You'll also need different sending units for coolant temp and oil pressure, I believe the ones for a dummy cluster are just an on/off switch not an actual sensor.

I'm glad I read this thread. I'm swapping a full cluster for someone in his 98 and I was told I needed different sensors. Good to know it's just plug and play
