Jeep Cherokee Asking Price?
Was curious about an asking price for a 1998 Cherokee 4x4. Someone rear ended the vehicle which caused both rear rails to bend slightly - causing squeaks every time I drive over a slight bump. The Jeep is now under salvage title. (see my photos for Jeep) I also bought the vehicle a year ago at $4700. 150k miles currently and very clean interior.
Should I sell it? How much would be too much to ask? I want another Cherokee. I assume it would be hard to sell a salvage title vehicle for much.

You probably over-paid at $4700 so now that it has a salvage title and a damaged frame I'd say it isn't worth much more than $1000 and even that may be a stretch.
Part it out . . .

Well giving a rough guesstimate using Kelley Blue Book,
A fair price for it would be about $2500.
Anything higher than that would be a ripoff, especially since it was rear ended and there is structural damage.

Cant speak to the salvage title but clean Cherokee 4x4s are bringing premium prices in southern California. Ive seen some low mile Cherokees with 4x4 sell for 9k recently.

Thanks all for the input. I still plan on keeping the Jeep for as long as possible (or until the rear rails break in half). I recently ordered KFX subwoofer box, but I don't plan on many more upgrades due to the salvage-vehicle issue.
Has anyone ever heard of anyone having the rear rails on their Jeep replaced?

Holy hell! I bought my 99 with 90k and extremely amazing garage kept 1 owner condition xj sport with full power options for 2800. here a super nice one is 2800-3800 street price, and 4-5k dealership price. most expensive one I've seen was a 88 with a 6" bds long arm, brand new 33x15.5x15 tsl's, bushwackers, surco rack, Detroit locked 44 rear and arb locked 44 front, inboard air compressor, 12000 lb winch, flowmaster exhaust, snorkel, cb, 4' firestick, custom bumpers, and absolutely no rust with 120k and that was 5200$

What you paid for it was too much.
Time to take a loss.
