Jeep 2500 + China XJ
on naxja and comancheclub.com there are/were threads where people have ordered the entire kit to convert in bulk.
overall cost is less than $500 for EVERYTHING you need to convert your front clip and tail lights with the side moulding. not sure if you get the fenders or not, but you can trim your fenders to work.
the shipping takes months from china to port here...they ship by boat. then it goes to the facilitator's house (a club member with the connections to get us the parts) and he seperates them out and ships what we ordered. obviously pay up front.

Yeah, they quit selling XJs in 2001 and nothing they replaced it with has sold as well. Kind of makes you wonder why the 08 Liberty looks so much like the old boxy XJ...HHHMMMMM.....
If those Chrysler 50 pound head engineers would start making a "Rubicon" version of the XJ, I think they'd sell them quicker than they could make them. Just imagine an XJ out of the factory with dana 44s front and rear with 4.10 gears and selectable lockers. A factory 3.5" lift with mud tires. A 4:1 low range in the transfer case and factory sway bar quick disconnects or power disconnects. I would even go with the 3.7 V-6. That thing is a little power house but, a small deisel available would be the icing on the cake.

I'm with Taylor. Let's start a petition and submit it to Chrysler complete with details of a desired "Rubicon" version of the 2500.

I fully believe a rig like this would get there sales out of the red and deep back into the black. I would buy 2 of them as soon as they hit the car sales lot.

and I'm one of the guys who contirbuted to those numbers. I bought the wife a Liberty in 06 cuz I thought it was a cute girl kinda Jeep. I still say I own 2 XJs though because mine and boy's XJs are both still in my name and on my insurance.

I would pay anything to have one like this. I wonder though how it would compare to an XJ. Durability, MPG, Speed, etc.

Don't mean any harm but I think the Liberty can stay, but the Compass which is absolutely useless off-road should be gone, I really like the 2500 hopefully they throw in the 3.0liter diesel like the new Grand's, those things haul.
