sold my cherokee for 1500 today and got my tax return this week..going to look at a 98 sahara w 78k tmrw if all goes well gonna take her home..bittersweet to say the least..but i do see the wrangler as an upgrade

jk I'm one of the only XJ's in my wheeling club too, everyone seems to have TJ/JK's.

It's a tradeoff if you ask me, topless for 4 doors. I always have people ask if they can throw extra gear or passengers in my XJ, sicne they have more room. But good luck with the Sahara

I turned my 89 xj into a 04 tj...... best trade ever!

 

Whoa now, I didn't say I was THE only one, but most weekends I am. Other local XJ's need to come out more often

I have never been a Wrangler or TJ fan, XJ for me. It mostly stems from buying numerous XJ's for pennies when a junk, wore out Wrangler like a 90 or 92 goes for $5000 around here. They just simply aren't worth that much for me to say "I own a Wrangler/TJ" etc.

I want a TJ eventually, prices around here are too high (private and car lots) I think when I finally "build" my XJ I'll put it up for trade on a TJ I'll have less in the XJ than what the TJ will be worth.

2 inch lift. New 33" km2's 4.56's warn bumpers.

 

2.4? How's that working out for ya? Probably not too bad, 4.56s and a 5spd

 

i have 2 tj's, both mild lift and 33's. love them just as much as my xj.
if i'm doing tough trails, it's all about the xj, but if i'm just trail riding with some noobs, i'll take the tj, the wifey usually brings the other.

also, when i'm just bombing around town, it's the tj, bonus with no top or doors when the sun is shining.

but if i really feel nostalgic, i'll take the ******.
