I'd suggest full leaf packs. Other than that they are great kits. IRO makes quality parts. Yes, you can fit 33's with a 4", but you will need to do a lot of trimming and adjust your bumpstops.

the one i linked is so much cheaper though, im not gonna be doing anything but light offroading now(highschooler) and no money for serious stuff.
i really wan to see some pictures of it, and do i have to buy anything else when i purchase the kit to complete the lift?
i know im gonna need an alignment, and im already working on buy rims, and parents are buying tires

Yes it is cheaper, but over time will sag. More than likely your stock springs are already sagging. You might need a sye or hack n' tap which is in the ballpark of $200. You will probably have to modify the steering also. What backspacing are you going to be running?

i do not own a jeep at the moment, because im 15. but im trying to get all the stuff i need for it like: lift, wheels, tires, and i already have everything for the inside(cb,stereo, subs,..ect.) so thay i will be set when i get it. im for sure getting it because i have a toyota sequioa right now that im gonna be trading in. its just a matter of finding my xj.

I'm in high school too and I have found that starting off with a 3" lift is prob the best way to go.. Then you can save up and get a sye and more lift and wheels etc. Unless you just have a bunch of money and time right now and want to go all out. Just my $0.10

You're trading in a sequoia for a cherokee? How's that work? Haha

Going from a 3" to a 4" isn't much of a difference. I say go 4".

I got their 3" kit with full packs and then got a set of 3/4" isolators and 1 1/2" shackle kit. so i'll have in the front along with my stock isolators; 4" and 4.5 in the back. stock c/a's for now. but i don't do alot of offroading its my d/d. I just don't have it installed yet.

i had to choose between tires and rims right now. so i got a new set of 31" duratracs.

i chose iro b/c of their rep. when its on i will give my impressions.

Yes it is. Around 4 or 4.5" your going to start wanting control arms extended brake lines and a sye will be the better more perminant fix as opposed to a tcase drop and shims. A 3" lift is a good base to add on to but again thats just me.

[QUOTE=jcwclm;986938]You're trading in a sequoia for a cherokee? How's that work? Haha

its my moms old car that she kept for me ton, it has a ton of miles and its an 01, she just got a new jeep commander, and my dad drives an 03 wrangler so its mine. they know im just gonna tear up a 2wd suv, and ive been obsessed with cherokees forever so they are down for me trading it in for a jeep as long as i make my grades and dont do stupid shi*(and they will probably have extra money from the trade in)

back to the thread: i currently have 600$ (my parents will not be hepling me out AT ALL) ive been saving for a year or so. and cutting grass this summer will bring in hopefully 300$, so i will have enough money to get rims and lift. and tires i guess i will just figure it out then and just give all the money i have to my dad and let him decide whether or not its safe to be driving around on stock 30s with a 4'' lift

The kit he's looking at has control arms and brake line relocation brackets, and a t-case drop will more than likely be fine at 4".

A lot of people don't have problems with the head. I haven't but I only have 85,000 on the head. I have gotten it pretty hot quite a few times though.

hmm, well honestly i will take whatever i can get. theres an old stock red 2 door down the street from me that gets driven like once a motnh that looks like its in really good condition, went to take a peak in the window the other day to find out its 2wd.
and then my sister comes home with a guy from school last week and couldnt believe what he was driving....

and he tells me its forsale and has 160k miles, new stereo and subs, newish 31 a/ts, he let me take it for a spin cause my sister told him how obsessed i am with cherokees (especially 2 doors) i get in... look down and its 2wd... so still looking for one.
