I was tired of the "yellow" OEM headlights that were on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The old ones literally fell apart when I removed them. I replaced them tonight with Sylvania XtraVision H6054 Halogen Sealed beams. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 30% brighter Halogen white beam. Took a short drive and they are impressive for only $16.99 each! Love upgrading the Jeep!

Do you have upgraded headlight wiring harness? If not get a Putco or similar and watch them headlights really come to life..
this set will work for the Jeep cherokee.

if you want to see those headlights really come to life, upgrade the headlight harness (also plug and play) just a little routing of the harness to the headlights... The Jeep cherokee came with sub par/small gauge wires from the factory that don't really feed the headlights with a good amount of juice. New harness fixes this issue.. People who have just done the harness are amazed how good the upgrade did..
Yeah you want the headlight harness with the relays,It takes the load off your headlight switch and thicker wires so more power to your lights.I have done the same mod to sealed bean lights before and got about a 30% more light out of them. And it cost me maybe 30 bucks.

That's a problem.
That's why the repeated suggestion to install the harness. It's NOT just about making them brighter. It's about making sure they keep working, period.
You've just put a new, higher load on a circuit that was marginal when it left the factory, and is now 16 years old.
