Got to take my jeep out wheeling for the first time on some nice trails today. Had so much fun. I've got 6" of lift and 32" tire. I can't get over how great the XJ works in tight spaces. The problem is almost every time I would go through a some what hard trails my buddy in his stock XJ with STREET tires would just fallow me up. I had to put my XJ in a few bad places to get him to back out. lol O and this was only his 2nd time to go offroad and I've been wheeling for years. He made me and my other buddy, with a 07' Rubicon, loke like douch bags.

I just need to vent, and give my buddy Pete some props

 

Ah, the ever capable (even bone stock) XJ. Ya gotta love em.

well my 96 xj isnt compleetly stock! I welded a toyota brush gard too the bumper

my XJ has been stock and everytime we go trailing ive never gotten stuck. i was trailing with my cousin who has an 03 TJ with a RE 4" long arm lift kit, he was behind me, we were trialing and i usually lead. well he was right behind me and i look in my rearview and i lost him, apparently he had just gotten stuck. i outtrailed my cousins lifted TJ for the like the 2nd time

 

A stock XJ is a very capable rig... more capable than most folks care to push them.
Armor 'em, budget boost 'em and throw 32x9.5's on 'em and they will suprise just about everyone on the trail.
