Hi. I have a factory right hand drive, 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport. 4.0 inline 6.
It has been sitting at my mechanics shop for 3 weeks now, while he is trying to locate a part called an "Idler Bracket" that Chrysler quit manufacturing in 2001.
(So far, no luck locating a replacement bracket, either new, or from any "auto recycling yards")
What does an "idler bracket" look like, and where is it located on my Jeep? I haven't been able to find out very much info online.

The last info I got from my mechanic is that the power steering pump is on top of the bracket that is broken. He is going to call 2 places in California today, from info I received from Chrysler corporation. Wondering if maybe the bracket has another name? It is on the opposite side from my idler pulley.

I think it's just called a "Idler Pulley Tensioner Bracket. Ebay has one but im not sure if it matters it's left hand or right hand drive for the bracket.. Here is the one from Ebay Click Here. The bracket is in yellow in the pic they provide.
