Thats funny right there! Now why would that guy do such a thing? And who was the einstein that winched the vehical from below on that steep of a hill?

Amazing.

As far as the seat belt goes shoot I don't wear one half the time. There is what you call common sense. Each individual is responsible for themselves. So if you don't want to wear a helmet or a seatbelt I won't get on your case.

If you fall out of your rig, then you reap the consequences of your decisions.

it all depends with me if im slow crawling with my racing seats i sometimes take belt off but the other 80 percent of the time its on and everyone that rides with me has to have one on or the jeep doesnt move.

If you dont have doors it is kind of a common sense to wear a belt...
But when I "wheel" (I dont do anyhting as crazy as the videos) I rarely have mine on.

Dont take seatbelt advice from me though.... lets just say Ive leaned how to get around the annoying seatbelt reminder or to tune it out entirely.
Im glad cherokees dont have that feature.

anything can happen, even at slow speeds.

not wearing a belt while wheeling, or even just driving is dumb.

It's funny and stupid but let's not be too judgmental about it. We all do really stupid crap once in a while. Either that or we lie about not doing it.

Time and place.

Angles without doors is not the time and place to not have a seatbelt on. I'll wheel through mud and the trails behind my house without a belt on but never with the doors off. I don't bother when I hit the beach, but then again I'm only doing 10-15 and going straight the entire time.

I wear my belt far more off road than I do on.

Federal law, WEAR IT! You as a motor vehicle owner are 100% responsible for the safety of yourself and ALL passengers at ALL times while in the vehicle.

Seat belts are NOT federal law. There's no law for them other than for minors in NH and in half the country it's only a secondary enforcement issue at a local level.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seat_be..._laws_by_state

The only federal laws regarding seatbelts dictate their design and requirement for every seat at point of manufacture and sale.
