Still stupid not to wear one. Its like people riding crotch rockets without a helmet. But im not gonna argue over this stupid thread cause it ranks with those who remove catalytic converters. Carry on.

i wear my shoulder belt behind me on the trail. because there was a time a friend and i flopped one on it's top hard enough where the top caved in. when it started to flip over we both leaned to the center of the jeep and was able to keep from getting pinned in the jeep do to not having the shoulder strap in place. there is a time and place when the shoulder strap of the belt should be used. but, all in all seat belts should be worn on or offroad.

Helmets arent going to save yourself in a crash... your face will look pretty for your funeral though.

If you arent an idiot, and dont drive like an idiot on unpopulated highways belts arent really an issue.

But do you really trust the people on the road?

I still dont wear one half the time, even though I know I should.

Yeah sure. I have been in a crash that left a 1/8 deep halo around my helmet and barely a scratch on the rest of me. I guess a helmet never saved you so you could still say stupid crap like this to sound cool. Regardless I am still not telling you to wear one, or a seatbelt for that matter. This discussion is pointless. Post some funny videos of idiots falling out of their Jeeps and be done. And they are called "idiots" for a reason.

Thank you. Glad to see we have a few smart members. As for the Lap belt statement earlier, that should be atleast worn at the minimum. You are safely attached to your rig and still have room to look around.

As for the helmets, as an honorary Outlaw (yes, the biker gang) in FL, I know about others not paying attention and what can happen. They say look twice motorcycles are everywhere but most drivers are irrisponsible and don't look. We've lost some good friends due to carelessness. Always keep your eyes moving and on the lookout for other drivers potential hazards.

I always liked Ford's old seatbelt commercial. Be nice to your date, and belt her.

What do you think would happen to my head if I had not been wearing this here helmet?

That's how I feel about it. I my self, wear mine. As for other people, that choose not, then that's their own fault.

I actually watched a jeep video long time ago the guy was wheeling on a side of a cliff the jeep rolled off the side and ejected him out he landed on his feet on the cliff and watched his jeep roll down about a 30 ft drop off the side the cliff, I say he's pretty lucky but I always wear my selt belt everyweres I rather be safe than sorry.

x3 on the helmet thing. I've tipped bikes over a time or two and always been glad I've had a helmet on. Still had a concussion or two with them on but things would have been a lot worse without one.

I like how the guy in the first vid doesn't put his belt on after he just fell out.
