Im picking up a 1991 xj in the morning for $300 and i was wondering what motor, auto trans, axles would possible be in it?

id guess a 4.0,dana 30 front, dana 35 rear. not sure on the trans in the older ones

91 should have 4.0 H.O could have non HO if it was early mfg date. Tranny auto would be AX-15. Transfer case would be NP231 or NP242.

Back. Most likely dana 35 could have C8.25. D44's were earlier models and very limited.

ax-15 is a manual

im talking more along the line of would it be a disconnect D30 or if a 91 has the Renix engine

AW-4 IS COMMON 4 SPEED AUTO.

Shoudnt be Renix. Should be HO
Not sure on disconnects though
