Default I need ideas for fender extensions!

I have some ideas but before i do anything, i was hoping that maybe someone had some ideas on some home-made fender extensions. Nothing to crazy. Im just tired of having to roll my windows up and straightening out my steering to prevent filthy water from getting my interior as well as myself dirty. Thanks.

Lawn edging and some rivets. Sold in rolls of 50 feet and boxes of 100. If it rips off, cut a new piece. they actually work

Although they do look ridiculous wide,...TJ Rubis flares are the way to go. 1in wider than regular TJ, and they are strong enough to walk on if you have to crawl out the door, on the fender flare, then onto the hood to attach a tow strap. Make a great tool rest when wrenchin on the motor. I picked up a set of fronts for $50.

Thats exactly what I had in mind. I just hadnt ever seen anyone with them on their rig. I did my rough cuts, just have to fit them. Thanks for the pictures. I really dig it.

Wow, that is a great and really cheap alternative, I would've never thought of that. Thanks for the idea, when I get my crager soft 8's and more aggressive tires I might make some flares out of that lawn edging.

As others have posted...I have used the lawn edging and rivets for 5 years without any problems. Cheap and keeps the mud out of your face. After a camping trip with mud getting all over the top rack loaded with supplies it was necessary to put some type of fender on.
You can cut the metal fenders to any curve you like and the lawn edging will conform to it's shape. You can get creative and have square type or round fender flares!

I have been thinking of getting some factory steel flairs off of an old J series truck or wagoneer and welding them in.
