They are upgrades...not repairs...only your jeep tells you when its time

 

Yeah. I have a nice rad. In my xj. I can honestly only recal my xj braking down a hand full of times. Even then. My jeep was still driveable and got me home safely

Learn how to turn wrenches or every car will eat away at your wallet... I'm not the most skilled mechanic and I usually have to make several trips to the autoparts store (for the right tool or right part). But between online resorces and the repair manual you can fix almot anything. Saving you a few thousand a year!

 

When my XJ overheated, I ended up parking it 15 miles from home on the side of the road to let it cool down. After a couple hours, I got back to my Jeep, put 3 gallons of water in, and duct taped the upper radiator hose to what was left of the hose fitting. I made it all the way home without any issues other than a little steam when I pulled in my driveway. I'm happy I was able to limp home without a tow truck

 

cant give up man! i have 14,200 in my 89 2 door just from replaceing everything and i wheeled the heck out of it so either way your gunna spend money on it but dont give up on it! its probably something simple! take a deep breath and step back and really troubleshoot everything!

 

So today I pressure tested my A/C system to see why it needed to be recharged. Turns out my A/C condenser is shot aswell.

Looks like I'm now replacing everything that cools the Jeep lmao

i keep hearing all this talk of "AC" what is this AC you all speak of?
