Fire hoses are crazy strong and if you know someone who could sew a loop on it that would work but they would really have to know what they are doing. Worst comes to worst tie a knot in the end around a d ring shackle and see if that works.

Its a hell of a lot safer than a chain. And The D Ring will break before the hose.

You can get a recovery strap for like $30.

But the hose was free. And way stronger than a 30$ strap.

I know of a few strapmakers that can sew strapping like that but it takes a commercial sewing machine. My dad does auto upolstery and has repaired straps before. I don't think fire hose stretches so it wouldn't make a "recovery" strap. Any strap sold as a recovery strap for only $30 would be extremely low quality as that is what mid-low end "tow" straps run for

30 buck straps tend to break pretty easily and you will never break a fire hose. I've used them several times for long pulls since they are sereral hundred feet long and don't stretch like a nylon strap. We just tied them on since we couldn't cut the ends off. We pulled a buddys Built F250 on 44s up a powerline hill with one when he blew his engine and it worked great.

If you do get it sewn up jay remember to use it like a strong tow strap, I won't have the stretch of a recovery strap and you probably don't want to do full throttle yanks with it unless you like replacing broken recovery points
