Och... okay...

Original price: $1600
Wheel balancing: $200
Coolant system: $400
Rear wheel bearings and differential: $250
Entire brake system replacement: $800.

So $1600 initial price and $1650 of work done to it so far (unless my math is awful, which it usually is).

I lucked out, mine came with a stereo in it (it's awful, but it works), brand new tires and so forth, so I didn't have to replace or upgrade any of that.

200 to get your wheels balanced??? You got robbed!

Ok, here goes.
XJ - $1,700
All new tie rod ends and steering damper - $150
New AM/FM/SD/USB stereo - $50
4 new speakers - $40
New OE leaf springs - $208
New coil springs - $42
2" lift kit - $85
1" t-case drop - $27
New bump stops - $50
New cooling system - $220
New rear wiper motor, arm and blade - $100
Full tune up - $80
New fuel injectors - $125
Door visors (vent-a-shade thingys) - $40
100% of the labor was done myself so no money spent for installations, alignment, wheel balancing, etc.

So all in all...............$2,917 out of the original $3,000 I had planned to spend and there's still more to do.

$12-15,000 and several months fabrication/install time. After falling off of a 40' drop, it looks like a $10 Jeep. Still drives & runs perfectly. Just doesn't have windows or a straight body panel. Though the fiberglass front fenders & hood look ok from a distance. lol
