They'll fit on your factory rims just fine, sure... but they won't fit on your jeep with stock rims just fine unless you consider rubbing fine.

It's not that you don't have enough back spacing, it's that you have too much backspacing. The less backspacing you have, the further out it moves the rim. Lift doesn't matter in that aspect, it's the lower control arms you're hitting.

O I see. Mine rubs the fender flares because i don't have enuff backspacing and the tire sets out too far. It rubs the lower rear corner of the flare when i turn.

Yeah lol, but i was tryin to keep my front tires from slingin all the water and grit and grime all up in my door hinges, so insteada pullin the whole inner fender well i just trimmed it a lil. Slings everything in there anyway. I thought about fillin the fenders with GreatStuff but idk if that's a good idea...

if you wanted a wider tire you'd go with a wider rim, not less backspacing. In most cases anyway once you're at 4" or below.

less backspacing will keep the wider tire away from the control arms.
a wider rim will put those same tires against the control arms.
get it?

What would you reccomend?

Donnie_K 09-19-2011 04:14 PM

seal up all exposed metal and then stick some pool noodles in there... lol. Seriously, and spray in foam type stuff is going to retain moisture and cause rust. at least the pool noodles you can pull out to clean in there to prevent rust.

caged 09-20-2011 10:30 AM

go with the pool noodle.

you can paint it whatever colour you like.
