How many out there use XJ for DD

My '93 is my daily driver, with just over 210,000 miles, and is (mostly) stock. No lift, anyway. The tires and wheels are bigger than what it originally came with, and I do take it off road every now and then (mostly on trails; not anything that really pushes it), but for the most part I do my best to take care of it. The way I look at it is... what's the point of having the thing if you're not going to drive it.

Bought a second XJ which means we DD both of them!
Both are stock and since lifts cost too much, they'll stay that way for a while.
The 1990 will be my hunting/fishing rig and the 1997 for a nice ride.
Love em both!

I daily drive in a 2001 cherokee, no lift, 207000 miles, recently rebuilt engine, and put $1000 into fixing the ac last summer... Other than that, I towed a 5x8 enclosed trailer with it 100 miles a day for maintenence work for the last two years....

I DD my 89 with 4.5" lift and 32s Honestly yes lift is important to me, a stock height cherokee would not do me much good. I live in no-mans land here in the appalachian mountains and routinely climb over fallen trees, wade flooded roads etc just to get to work. If I wanted a station wagon I'd have bought one instead.

did you DD your xj ? why?
my jeep is a dd, it averages 20 miles each way when im working, it also regularly makes 600 mile trips. I also take it car camping and sleep inside it. Why? because i can only afford one vehicle, im 21 and one is expensive enough.
is it lifted but DD?
it has a 2in bb, im hoping to move up to a 3-3.5in lift
you prefer to buy stock or lift XJ?
i prefer to buy the cleanest, nicest vehicle i can afford; lifted or not.
is lifting the jeep that important to you?
i feel safer when its up a bit from stock, plus its easier to get into.
here is a picture of it in the middle of repainting the bumper-
i used to dd that suburban but sold it back to my father.
